Ummah vs Masjid Solutions

Both run masajid. Masjid Solutions quotes its software and sells kiosk hardware by the device. Ummah bundles everything in one published price: events, members, donations at 0%, the Ummah Kiosk and TV displays on hardware you already own, vendor booth maps and a website we build, $75 a month. Here is the honest split, including where they are ahead.

30,000+ Muslims and 3,000+ communities on Ummah

The building and the reach, in one published price.

Masjid Solutions is built around on-site hardware: tap-to-give kiosks, handheld donation devices and digital signage that runs prayer times on a screen in the lobby. That is a real product line and it ships today. The kiosks are bought by the device, and the software is priced by quote.

Ummah covers the building without new hardware. The Ummah Kiosk takes tap-to-pay donations, checks people in and signs up new members on a tablet you already own, and TV displays put prayer and iqama times, events and campaign totals on the TVs already on your walls. Both are included in the $75 Advanced plan, next to events, members and dues, donations at 0%, vendor booth maps and a website we build, and the whole rate card is public.

Ummah is also built around a problem a kiosk cannot solve. A masjid does not usually struggle to collect from the people already standing in it. It struggles to reach the family that moved into the area last spring and does not know the masjid exists. That is what the discovery app and the public community pages are for.

The structural difference

Nobody discovers a masjid through its own app.

A masjid-specific app reaches people who already downloaded it, which means people who already attend. Ummah lists your events in a feed that 30,000+ Muslims already use to find what is on near them, so a listing can reach somebody who has never heard of you.

  • Your events surface to Muslims searching nearby, not only to your members
  • A public community page that search engines and AI assistants can read
  • Discover Nearby puts your masjid on the map for new arrivals
  • No app download required for someone to RSVP

Pricing

A number you can put in a budget.

Ummah publishes its rate card. Free to start, $19/mo with a website we build, $75/mo with a 0% platform fee and the kiosk and TV displays included. Masjid Solutions does not publish pricing, so a board comparing the two has to book a call before it can compare anything at all.

  • Every plan and fee listed publicly
  • The Ummah Kiosk and TV displays included on Advanced, with no hardware to buy
  • 0% platform fee on Advanced, so fundraising totals stay whole
  • Free events carry no platform fee on any plan
  • Full export, no lock-in and no export fee

Questions

If you run a full-time Islamic school, IQRA is a dedicated school system and deeper than our weekend and term programs, so look at them first. For the rest of the masjid, Ummah bundles it in one published price: events with tickets and check-in, members and dues, donations at a 0% platform fee, the Ummah Kiosk and TV displays on the tablets and TVs you already own, vendor booth maps, prayer times, the app and a website we build, $75 a month billed annually on Advanced. Masjid Solutions does not publish its software pricing and sells its kiosks as hardware, by the device.
They do not publish pricing. Today the site offers demos, free trials and a sale on donation kiosks, but no rate card. You would need to book a call to get a number.
Free to start: events with tickets and QR check-in, members, prayer times and the app at $0, with a 3% platform fee on paid tickets. Basic is $19/mo, month to month, with a 1.5% platform fee and a website we design and build included. Advanced is $75/mo billed annually with a 0% platform fee, and it bundles everything: donations, the Ummah Kiosk, TV displays, vendor booth maps, staff roles and the website. The platform fee is added at checkout and paid by the buyer. Payment processing is charged separately by the processor on either platform.
Yes. The Ummah Kiosk is live and included in the $75 Advanced plan. It runs on an iPad or Android tablet you already own, so there is no device to buy: tap-to-pay donations with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a contactless card, QR ticket check-in, walk-up registration and new-member sign-up, an ad carousel when it is idle, and every kiosk managed from Kiosk Management in the portal. Masjid Solutions sells its kiosks as hardware: on September 14, 2026 their homepage listed the AjrTap at $249, the Tap & Give Kiosk at $495 and the Ultimate Kiosk at $795, on sale.
Yes. TV displays are live and included in the $75 Advanced plan, on the TVs you already own: open a web link on any smart-TV browser or HDMI stick. They show prayer and iqama times with a countdown, Jumu’ah times, events, campaign totals, announcements and sponsor slides, in four layouts, horizontal or vertical, with a Ramadan mode, an urgent notice to every screen at once and a playlist per screen. Masjid Solutions also sells remote-controlled displays; its site does not publish a price for them.
Their Masjid One app serves a masjid’s own members. Ummah also runs a discovery layer: 30,000+ Muslims browse events and find communities near them, so a listing can reach people who are not on your mailing list yet. That is the clearest structural difference between the two.
On Ummah, yes. Bulk CSV import brings a member list in, and everything exports out with no export fee and no lock-in. We cannot speak to their export terms.
We make Ummah, so read it knowing that. Their column was read from their product pages on September 1, 2026, and their kiosk prices from their homepage on September 14, 2026, and we listed what we found. They are still ahead on two rows: IQRA, a full-time school system deeper than our weekend and term programs, and AI-powered donor segmentation. If something here is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
