Muslim Events in Plano

Plano holds one of the densest concentrations of Muslim community life in Texas, and almost none of it shows up in one place. Ummah pulls the halaqas, fundraisers, and youth nights from across Collin County into a single feed you can scan in under a minute.

The Plano scene

A Small City With A Big-City Calendar

East Plano Islamic Center draws some of the largest Friday crowds in North Texas, and the Islamic Association of Collin County on Independence Parkway anchors the west side of the city. Between them sit Masjid Salahadeen, Noori Masjid, and a cluster of schools and institutes including Qalam Collegiate Academy and the Read Institute of Texas.

The result is a calendar that runs most nights of the week inside a city of under 300,000 people. We currently track 657 events in Plano and 42 Muslim organizations and businesses listed on Ummah. The problem was never that nothing is happening. It is that each masjid announces on its own channel, and nobody follows all of them.

East Plano

The busiest pocket of Muslim activity in Collin County, built around EPIC and its youth and family programming.

West Plano

Anchored by the Islamic Association of Collin County on Independence Parkway, with steady weekend classes and lecture nights.

Legacy & Willow Bend

Young professional and family crowd, strong turnout for evening lectures and community dinners.

Allen & McKinney

The northern edge of Collin County, where newer communities launch their own event series each year.

Richardson border

Shares a masjid and school catchment with north Richardson, so calendars overlap heavily.

Frisco border

Fast-growing families moving north, often still attending Plano masajid on weekends.
